University of Chicago students and faculty are invited to join us for a weekly Greek New Testament reading group.

Led by Rebekah Spearman, doctoral candidate in Classics, this reading group will work through selections of the Greek New Testament on Tuesdays from January 25 to March 15 from 1:00-2:00 p.m at Gavin House (1220 E. 58th St., Chicago, IL). Graduate students from other universities are also welcome.

The group will translate line-by-line, with Rebekah assisting and commenting on syntactical and grammatical points of interest. Fr. Peter Bernardi, SJ, Lumen Christi's Scholar in Residence, will be on hand to tackle theological questions. There is no better way to brush up on one's Greek than to practice it! All levels of Greek are welcome

Rebekah will lead the group through the Gospel of Luke, reading and translating roughly twenty lines per week.
