Intended for current students and faculty. Others interested in attending please contact info@lumenchristi.org. Registrants are free to attend as many sessions as they choose.
The most consequential and controversial of his writings, St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans was written to instruct new Christians on the meaning of faith and discipleship. This course will present Paul’s teaching in Romans from the perspective of Roman Catholic doctrine, while engaging the more provocative arguments of the Church Fathers, the Schoolmen, the Reformers, and modern exegetes. Knowledge of Biblical Greek or familiarity with New Testament writing is not required.
